I'm not an expert by any means so my opinion counts for little, but I've loved Claude Monet's work since I studied it at school years ago for an art project. Some truly beautiful canvases.

My favourite painting however will probably always be this - Starry Night Over the Rhone by Van Gogh.

That said, I'm a big fan of some of the surrealists as well. In particular, Dali, Tanguy and Delvaux. There's a surrealism exhibition on in Edinburgh at the moment if anyone fancies seeing some up close and personal.

Also like Heironymous Bosch and Claude Lorrain.

Some old dude did a painting once in an old time where he was looking back down the street full of missed opportunities and hookers. I liked that.

And there was this installation once of distorted and spasticated dummies, I like that also.
