    They need 'flavour', run a nice dirt box into it and you can can get some usable sounds. The built in 'fuzz' is terrible. Speaker is terrible but you can upgrade it, or bash it hard until it loosens up a bit. It's big appeal to me is portability, great for taking to festivals and not caring about it being nicked.

    ...fingers crossed, if I'm lucky they will take the crap strat I drag out for such occasions as well.

    Michael Schenker apparently recorded the UFO album Lights Out using a Pignose......
    The story was one of the solos was a Strat and a Pignose in a car park.
    Maybe the first part of the solo in "Try Me".



    (I saw them on that tour.)

    What were they like?  Was Schenker on top form?  

    I went to see MSG in Belfast in 2008 but it had to be cancelled first time around because it seems he had "taken ill".  The show was rescheduled and he was incredible!
