He's always been in the back of my mind just as the guy who played for Marilyn Manson for a time. I'm currently listening to an interesting long interview with him and I was surprised that he is a lot older than I thought (45), and also that he has played on a shedload of records.
9 solo
5 Rob Zombie
5 Manson
2 Dave Lee Roth
2 Sebastian Bach
1 Paul Stanley
1 Alder
1 Beware of darkness
as well as around 40 credits on various other albums including 'ghost guitarist' many times. He's been a busy boy!
I think I'm going to start delving into his stuff, probably start with my old fave DLR and maybe some solo stuff. Any recommendations?

There are MANY brilliant YouTube videos of him showing off his chops on assorted telecasters.
He makes cool noises with a Telecaster.
Is the interview this one?
Anyone that can cut it in her touring band has my respect!
quite like some of his solo metal particularly "Sounds of Impalement " -I learnt to play it because it's so out of my normal pond
BUT what I really like is that he is a Country Master and superb bluegrass player too
properly skilled guitarist
I bought a John 5 Tele
@bingefeller Certainly. He's a smart cookie. Definitely listen to his episode on The Jasta Show.
Mans a genius.
@Bloodeagle Naw man, he's obviously really struggling. Look at how cheap his holiday practice rig is!
Honestly, a 25 quid tranny?!
I know John 5 wasn't in the band when it was written but it is my "go to" song at the moment when I pick up my guitar (and I think he is in the video).
