The clean will remain pretty clean until its really wound up, but the magic is really on the drive sounds. Very classy sounding amplifier.
Clean will start to crunch a bit if you are very loud as a band. The real special bit is the foot switch as the extra switch and clean boost are available.
This one ended my amp search.

What speaker are you using @Teetonetal ? V30 seems to be the favourite with this amp
At home I had it hooked up to a wgs copy of the vintage 30 which I prefer over the celestion one. Not so harsh.
I suspect a celestion V would also sound good but mine is in use elsewhere.
