Just finished rewiring after removing the Pitchfactor and adding the Pog2.

Must try and remember to clean the phone camera lens before next time!

    Holy shit 8 knob TBIAC.

Holy shit Mena WMB (probably my favourite OD pedal ever).

    Holy shit, acronyms. Lovely board.

    Go on then, I'll play!

Very happy with this as I can get early Alice Cooper/Gary Moore (Blue Crab), Thin Lizzy (Badass), Saxon (MI Crunch), AC/DC (Plexi drive) and Free (DLS) from my Vintage-Modern plus a whole other load of Marshall flavours.

    My latest incarnation...

    image

Stuff on the left is in the FX loop. Stuff on the right is in front of the amp. I need a small box for the FX loop stuff, and I need to add a delay pedal. Then I'm done!

First proper version of my Ikea Gorm board. All done through the  Joyo PXL Pro switcher. Chain of effects is as follows:
    Jimi Hendrix Mini Fuzz Face
    Plutoneium Chi WahWah
EHX Soul Preacher Compressor > L1
    Joyo AC Tone > L2
    Xotic SL Drive >  L4
    BOSS FB-2 Feedbacker/Booster
    Egnater Rebel 30 212 Combo
Zoom G3 in the amp's effects loop.
I use the amp's crunch channel as a lead channel with a few more mids and a big volume jump. This and reverb are switched by the Joyo.

I'm slightly annoyed by the fuzz face as I'd prefer it in L3 of the Joyo which means I don't need to do any tap dancing at all, but it doesn't like being behind the Wah. I'm thinking about replacing it with a BOSS FZ-5 which is a COSM-based fuzz which has no problem being behind a wah.

Switched a few things on my board recently. Comp after the wah/vol (this has actually improved things a lot!), Big Muff is out with the Box Of Metal in. Mr Black Deluxe Plus in place of my Keeley modded TR2.

Signal flow: Mr Crybaby Super Wah/Vol -> Pigtronix Philiospers Tone -> Zvex USA Vexter Box Of Metal -> Crowther Hot Cake -> EHX Micro POG -> MXR Carbon Copy -> Line 6 Rotary Machine -> Line 6 DL4 -> Mr Black Deluxe Plus -> TU2.

Happy enough, but I'm thinking of getting one of the new MXR Univibe pedals and getting rid of the Rotary machine.

Guitar is usually a CIJ Jag and the amp is a hand wired AC30 w/ greenbacks.

May as well throw my other board up. I use this one with the jangle pop band I play in. We can get pretty noisey too mind.

Signal flow: Korg Pitchblack Poly -> Boss CS3 -> Zvex Octane 3 -> Zvex Super Hard-On -> Boss DD3 -> Moose's Custom Electraonic Moonraker (Phaser + Vox Repeat Percussion type tremelo)

Guitar is either a Gretsch Duo Jet or an Epiphone Casino (with Oil City pickups!) into the aforementioned hand wired AC30 w/ greenbacks.

    Latest incarnation, freshly baked:

    image

Self-built board, made from bits of a futon a neighbour was chucking out. Probably cost about a fiver for velcro and paint...

The astute amongst you might notice that the C2 isn't plugged in - that's purely because it's just there as an fallback in case my amp dies. There will probably be a Mooer Slow Gear and a Zoom MS70CDR on there at some point, hence the (currently) unused space at the back.

Enquiring minds might want to know why this picture is the wrong way around. But is it? Aha!
Anyhoo, slight variation 354 as having a spare 9v supply was bugging me. Yes, it is a poor quality photo. Not really sure how practical the expression pedal really is beyond easy access to crazy oscillation but that has a charm

Still needs 1 more pedal added, but this is what I'll be gigging on Friday night:

    image
    image
    image

Guitar - G30 Wireless (Receiver hidden under the board) - Modified Cry baby Wah - Polytune - TS9 - Rockbox Boiling Point - EVH P90 - Amp

G-major in the loop for reverb, delay, chorus etc etc. G-Major also does amp channel switching.

I've actually just stripped this board, which I made based on an Ikea Gorm board but ended up changing everything to reinforce it.  Here's the pedal layout minus power cables at this point, no boutiques here, but it worked well for me. The SD-1, BD-2 and GE-7 had Allums mods carried out on them, but the jury is still out really. The drives were pretty good, but are by no means certain of a place on my new board. The GE-7 mod on the other hand was well worth the time and money as it rendered a chronically noisy pedal almost silent. BTW, power for the drives and Ed the compressor was a daisy chain from the TU-3 and it handled it all with no problem or noise.

I hinged the kick guard and it housed the power supply (DC Power brick) for the pedals in the loop (on the 'first floor') This left enough space for cables and odds & ends. I also put some decent handles on the end for easy carriage, courtesy of B&Q.

All in all it worked well for 3 years. I have just bought a flight case for a Showmaster 48 lighting board from Blue Aran and if it is half as solid, I'll be happy :D

Yes, the PSU is overkill but it's left over from when I had a bigger board, and I see no sense in downsizing to something smaller/possibly inferior. George Lynch wah goes first in the chain offboard, and I'm awaiting a couple of pathbays which will slot into the top gap. Loving the smaller setup.

I got irritated with having to setup some pedals for the FX loop every single damn time. Setting up just the foot controller is much easier. So this is what I'm rocking right now.

Finally lashed together a small pedalboard for home use...

    image

...still undecided on dirt pedal order (Muff>Llama or Llama>Muff, difference is marginal), the Soul Preacher only gets very occasional use so may be replaced for something more utilitarian, and need to try out the Echorec before the Superego and see how that sounds.  Angled up fairly steeply to accommodate the Fame DCT-200 power supply underneath, but doesn't feel weird or awkward, so I'm happy.  Also looking to build a loop switcher specifically for the Superego and G3...bypass switch to bypass the G3 completely, plus another switch to switch it in/out of the Superego's loop...it sounds fantastic in the loop BTW.

Board surface is this, a pine bath/shower duckboard from Argos (£9.99).  Works a treat.  Thought about painting it black, but couldn't be bothered in the end.
New fangled trading feedback link right here!
