Not sure if there's a cheaper version of the same circuit.
Accept no substitutes.
I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd
If you want something a bit meatier the Alpha Omega is cool too.
i sold my B7K and Vintage Deluxe. I find the B series to be more versatile than the Vintage ones. The B will do a vintage sound but the vintage won’t do the B sound.
The AO is actually awesome as a clean preamp too. I often bypass the preamp on my TecAmp head and run the AO into the loop return.
And I’ve got the M900 amp as well.
Great products.

ill have a look at them all
I use a Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz or a Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz (identical circuit) on the Fuzz1 mode with the gain at zero - it's more of a fuzzy overdrive than a fuzz at that point. Fuzz2 with the gain up a bit is more of an outright fuzz.
The Behringer is such a huge amount of fun for £24 new, every bass player should have one .

The AO is great for meaty low gain tones, I do slightly regret not waiting for the inevitable ultra version, though I actually found I preferred the tone of my B3K to my B7KU so there’s no guarantee I’d prefer the AOU over the AO...
