    I think the pedal sounds good on the demos I have heard.

    But I never in a million years would have thought an organ simulator would have been so popular, people are going mad for it!  Obviously the RA guys in EHX deserve the money they are getting

    A problem I'm having with mine. It puts a high pitch whine onto the power supply which drive pedals amplify. I guess it needs an isolated power supply. I'm using the GigRig so its not difficult to sort, but unfortunately HotRox aren't stocking them yet (they are about a mile away so are my preferred source).

    Yeah mine does that as well.

    Needs to be isolated for sure.

  • I'm loving mine.

    Jazz or Gospel setting - Green Onions
    Continental setting - House of the Rising Sun
    Cathedral is good for Pachelbel's Canon that I've been messing about with
    Classic rock is instant John Lord

    Finally some of the sounds in my head have been achieved (Pog2 could not do it).

    It is more a reflection of what a pain in the fucking arse the average keyboard player is...

    I just thought I'd update this to say 3 months later it's still on my board and I'm using it as a part of my bands set.

    In a mix it's surprisingly convincing.

    Well here's an entirely expected outcome for an EHX product.

    It's just broken.

    Back to the shop it goes!

    "It's just broken."

    In what way?

    It still produces a sound on the dry output, but the organ output is silent unless you turn it up to maximum in which case you can hear a very small amount of the organ sound (which I suspect is probably crosstalk).

    I was really looking forward to the B9 to the degree where it suppressed my natural suspicion of EHX shitty reliability.

    Shame but hope its an isolated incident and the replacement works as advertised. Very cool sounding pedal.
    What is the sustain like (when it's working) - do notes/ chords fade out gradually or just stop if you keep fretting the chord?

    I'm pondering just getting my money back and getting a Boss Overtone as I'm not convinced that a new one won't die again.

    It's essentially just a pitch shifter with some modulation added so it doesn't sustain beyond what your guitar is going to do, but it does have quite a bit of compression on the organ sound so the dynamics give you a bit more sustain.

    My main guitar teacher acquired one of these a couple of weeks ago. I got to use it for the whole of my lesson today. Stupid fun. :D

    Just bumping this thread, as I quite fancy one of these.

    @monquixote - that is a glorious review mate !

    Anyone still use one of these ? Im after ye olde Hammond sound... (A la Booker T...)

    @johnperry @paul_c - surely one of you guys have owned one ?

    Twice! And still got the second. First was unreliable.

    It's fun in small doses. In my experience needs a compressor before it to help it track. I find it way more useful to create harmonics for ambient noodling than as an actual organ sim but that's just personal choice. It will sound like an organ, including a Hammoon, if you play your guitar in the right way

    @johnperry - do you use a comp before the B9 mate ?

    It's a great sounding pedal but very unreliable.

    Putting anything in front of it even a comp makes it glitch out.
