Does the world need to be so black and white? There are lots of things that I don't like but sometimes do.
Brussel Sprouts for example

Horrible unless fried with bacon and then mixed with a Gruyere based cheese sauce.

Guitars are the same, I don't really like wood finishes or white Les Pauls, but there are always exceptions.

Why is it a lie?  Some guitars having 'something' you can't quite place, but you love the look of them even though the same model often leaves you cold.

I was was with you until you added the cheese sauce, that sounds revolting.

But agreed with your basic point.  If I make an "I don't usually like... but..." comment it's because I mean it.  There are weirdly-shaprd, pointy-headstocked metal guitars which look amazing.  Sometimes.  There are, very occasionally, Fiesta Red Strats which somehow manage to look good.

If I didn't mean it I wouldn't say anything at all.

MrsTheWeary wanted some pitta breads. I'm not a fan of the Tesco ones which are very cardboard like. We got some from the bakery bit at the Co-Op and they are surprisingly soft and delightful. So, I don't normally like pitta breads but those are really nice. I don't see what's wrong with that.
