Hiwatt experts - advice needed

Gents, I have a line on a 76 DR504 in 'players condition' - board and pot dates check out, but it's missing the serial number plate.

Instead of the plate, there's a stick on orange sticker with a serial printed on it 

Electrical test certificate is for 75 and the chassis carries the name 'Paul Tanner' that I can't link to Hiwatt

The current owner claims to have bought it from a shop in the 80ies

My logic is that it's probably legit and has been nicked at some point in its past (and the plate removed)?

I'm tempted to take a chance - Any obvious scams or tricks that I'm missing?
