SOLD FS 2016 Gibson Firebird V

NOW SOLD - Nice to meet you @Adamski and thanks for an easy deal.

Looking to sell my 2016 Gibson Firebird V. Bought because it looks sooooo cool, but I play it very little and I want a Gibson acoustic, so it's time for it to go. It's the 2015 model, so has the Steinberger tuners (making it lighter and better balanced on the strap), slim neck profile, sunburst finish. Pics here:

In very good condition and played very little since I bought it last year - take a look at the pics and please shout if there's anything you'd like to see more detail on. Comes with all the case candy (including tools) and the gig bag it came with. No hard case, so it's collection only for now (unless you want to send me a case to put it in and I'll happily send it back!).

I live in South London and work in Victoria (for the next month, then moving jobs to West London) so can fairly easily arrange a viewing in any of those locations or a meet up somewhere mutually convenient. 

Looking for a quick sale so I'm asking £550 cash on collection.

I also have a pair of Mojo Firebird pickups for it, which I never fitted. Happy to do a deal to include them too if they're of interest. Any questions, just shout!

Hi, Steve, very interested in guitar, but can you say something about how it plays, please? The reviews online are pretty mixed, with some saying it's fantastic and no problems, but a good number complaining about severe frets buzz, twisted necks, poor quality control etc. Does this fall into the 'no problems' camp? Hope so. Cheers.

^ Amazon cleared the 2015 models out last year for a relatively similar sum, so if @step_hent was lucky enough to grab one then it's nice of him to pass it on to us. Besides, cash on collection is pretty straightforward enough.

Then I stand corrected. Bargainous price, regardless. Marginally annoyed that all play money is gone, or I too would be impatiently awaiting a response to a PM.

He had already sold it when I contacted him on the 16th. It is a great price - however, they were knocking a few out (2016's) for £650-£675 at a few places at one point. Kick myself for not grabbing one then.

Hi all, just to clear this one up - I've got someone collecting at lunchtime so expecting it will go then.

On the price, I paid a bit more than this, but I generally price my used guitars at approx 2/3 of what I paid (if they're in good condition) - I want a quick sale once I've decided it should go. Given the price rises this year, it makes it more of a bargain, but certainly not hooky. As is pointed out above, cash on collection means a chance to check it out before handing anything over :-)

The Mojo pickups are still available if anyone's interested in those, but I'll stick up a seperate ad in the parts section.

@GavRichList haha, fair enough - I didnt think I'd priced it quite that cheap but given the new price this year (with a hard case mind you) I see it looks that way. I guess my impatience in selling things trumps my wish to get more money for it :-)
