What have I done to my guitar? Damn, I didn't think anyone was watching. Hey, I was lonely.

Hoping I can play after the brake drum/pallet/finger incident. If so, then jamming to some backing tracks, and new strings on the Jackson.

Ringleader of the Cambridge cartel, pedal champ and king of the dirt boxes (down to 21)

After almost a year of procrastination, I restring my Acoustic, I used 80/20 bronze this time and it's really bright, sounds great with fingers but almost unusable with a pick
Ah, but have you tried a shovel? You can move mountains with one of these.

I though guitarists should use the edge of their hand to chop those down.

Actually got more than 5 minutes to play earlier so I got to write a few new riffs.

Removed the strings, polished the frets, cleaned and gently oiled the fretboard, cleaned any gunk from everywhere else accessible, polished everything, put new strings on. Decided it sounded better dirty with the old strings...............

I was doing a re-amping session for some recordings I recently did.

I was bored during playback so I took the Strat's vibrato bar out and used it to chip away at the finish a little bit. Looks a bit more relic'd now - you can see the layer of metallic gold underneath the green. It was fun :D

Another neck masked up, before and after a very quick and easy fret polish!

Yesterday evening I rerecorded a tune I wrote a few weeks before my 25th birthday. That was 25 years ago. I used the same guitar for both.

Rehearsal this afternoon 4-8pm used the strat, tele and 335.
Tomorrow will be a non guitar day after 3 in a row. Then resting Tues ready for Fridays gig.
Interesting - why the non guitar day?
Two gigs and a rehearsal day means only 1 day of the 4 day weekend for chores/visiting my ailing mother and spoiling a very nice woman. The guitar can't be front and centre all the time.

Ah ok - I thought it was something to do with avoiding 'overplaying' (if such a thing ever exists...)

I looked longeley at it hoping for some time to play it this week I'm off work, then realised I have a baby at home with me all week and there's fat chance of that happening.

No such thing as overplaying as far as I know. I could do with all the practice I can get but at my age that tends to be less than a daily ritual and being inherently lazy doesn't help!

Fret polish on a MIJ strat that was super grubby when I got it a while ago, fitted an oil city baseplate to the bridge pickup and later stringing it with 11s.
