I'm looking for a Les Paul style thing to balance out the 3 Fenders I have, so I'm looking at set neck guitars with humbuckers.

Looking primarily for a Gibson Les Paul, but would consider any similar boutique stuff, Kauers etc.

Firebirds and Thunderbirds are also on the table.

I vastly prefer finishes where you can see the grain of the wood, so bursts I'm a lot more likely to go for. I'm less keen on Cherrybursts though.

Would consider solid colour finishes on a Firebird.

Really though, happy to consider anything that fits the bill, hollowbodies a firm maybe. Probably don't have the budget for something much more than a really nice LP Standard, but I could probably stretch for the perfect guitar.
