I thought I'd come up with a brilliant idea. The Custard Vest! Well not exactly custard, but a non-newtonian fluid with similar properties that could be in pouches within a bullet proof vest. The theory is sound... In normal movement the custard is liquid allowing greater freedom of movement. Upon shock impact, the liquid momentarily solidifies.

Brilliant! At least I thought it was until I found out I wasn't the first person to think this and indeed they exist. Developed by BAE initially, and it turns out they work surprisingly well. To the point that I believe liquid armour is now a thing.

I came up with an idea for making intermediate moulds for metal casting by accurately forming melted wax using a nozzle and a computer controlled dispenser.

A couple of decades people started getting into 3D printing with plastics. That's when I realised I was not clever, I was stupid.

No, not quite. I just had an idea last year and It's undergoing a Patent search.

I think it was @Guitar_Slinger I was talking to bloody years ago about my idea for a soldering toaster. You put the solder in, heat it up and aim the toaster at the item that needs soldering.
