Looks pretty cool, I assume it has an ebony fretboard because of CITES.

Yes, it says ebony in the description. Pretty sweet guitar, wonder how much it goes for.

Looking at Similar Outfit models, it should be no more than £600

  • That's pretty damn awesome.
Epiphone are really doing well with their signature lines.
I'd quite happily have one of these, a JoBo Firebird or a Lee Malia LP.

Finally! These were outed on Thomann about a year ago. Should be a great little guitar

The ebony fretboard is down the 'original' Gibson one having an ebony fretboard as well.

I am seriously considering getting that guitar though... Really wanted the original Gibson one but there was no way I could afford it!

The only thing giving me pause on this is that I'd really really like the Gibson "Standard" version

Seriously worth considering, it really looks the part and the quality of Epiphones nowadays is pretty good for the price. And with proper Gibson pups as well.

That actually looks quite nice with the Epiphone headstock
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

I like that which is strange because I don't usually like anything 'Gibsony'.

Andertons has it for preorder for £699.

Not the cheapest guitar, but a lot of guitar for the price tag.

I know nothing about Johnny A but his signature guitars always look cool. This is no exception.

That's more than I expected, but it should still be an excellent guitar for the money.

It's strange how Epiphone seem to be constantly moving to the higher end and Gibson are making more and more budget models.

I just watched the latest Rig rundown and it's on Johnny A. He mentions this and it has an ebony board, Gibson Classic 57 pickups but the price seems to have increases (£849) but it does look good!

  • PMT in Cardiff have a second hand one for £599 or £699, I can’t remember which. Seemed expensive for a used Epiphone to me..

Sorry to dig up an old thread, I have found a new Johnny A Epiphone, but its a fair bit more expensive (just under £1000)- is it worth it?
