Well, I just wet myself with excitement...

Steely Dan, supported by The Doobie Brothers, is (sort of The Meters being supported by any band I'm playing in) my idea of an absolute dream gig.

I'll be camped-out on the phone come Thursday morning...
Not much of the gear, even less idea.

I really liked what Steely Dan did back in their day and I still enjoy their albums from that era.

Went to see them ten years or so ago and they just played bland West Coast lounge jazz all evening. The sort of thing I imagine as muzak in the elevators of posh LA apartment blocks. I almost lost the will to live.

Hopefully they won't serve up more of the same this time round, but I'll not be taking a chance.

Yep. My dad got slightly excited when I told him, going to try and get us tickets - absolutely epic gig.

Yup. Just sign up on the Live Nation site for pre-sale tickets and you're in.

    Good hunting...
