    Nice!

Get a Dimebucker in there and the output issue will be sorted :)

No need. The power is all in the tone wood.

Just thought I'd stick these 3 with a couple of other old things:ChuckManual said:
Very, VERY nice. "WOW" awarded.  B

Boring paint finish/wear question; Why does it have those straight lines in it? Goldtops do that too. Does anyone know why?
The checking is caused when the lacquer is exposed to changes in temperature that cause the finish to expand and contract.  It's more noticeable on some colour finishes than others but most old nitro finishes will be subject to this to one degree or another.

Bootiful. Absolutely bootiful. Pelham Blue cool as [insert superlative here].

Forgive my ignorance, but the single coil pickup looks out of place. Is it really original, because to my Friday afternoon eyes it looks like an aftermarket mod?

Edit: and it looks like the slim head might mitigate any neck dive. What's not to like?
The pickup and guard on these melody makers must be made of slightly different materials as on pretty much all the Pelham blue versions I've seen in person they appear to age differently with a contrast in the colours.  The filter and phone camera did make them look whiter in the pics than in real life as well.
You can probably see on the ones listed here how they can appear:
    https://reverb.com/uk/p/gibson-melody-maker-pelham-blue-1966?gclid=Cj0KEQjw0v_IBRCEzKHK0KiCrKMBEiQA3--1NiWQU_FozxtNLqLbExSnooUaCPpoY3JK38jpsNrL-68aAlMx8P8HAQ&hfid=5249552

The balance of this on a strap with the smaller headstock is definitely an improvement with no neck dive.  I'm sure that's what Gibson were trying to correct when they designed them and it wasn't simply a lucky coincidence ;)

Lovely. P. Blue looks good on SG style guitars.

The SC junior reminds me I'm still waiting on my replica build...

That little thing is incredible.  Leo could have saved some money though and just had an on/off switched and ditched the knob.  Just hard wired it to 12 and leave the rest to the guitar
