Odd, a few people have an issue with Lee Anderton calling himself The Captain. 

No one mentions Captain Sensible's lack of military service.

John Terry as far as I am aware was no soldier.

Alan Sugar is a Captain of Industry.

if you take Captain to mean leader of a team, Lee Anderton has more than enough qualification to use the term. 

Also he refers to himself as 'The Captain' not Captain Lee Anderton. 

It's a nickname. 

Get over it.
