Agree re the Xotics - the EQ on them is really effective
    Red ones are better.

Look at either the Xotic AC or BB. The Zendrive isn't bad too.
defo, but AC or RC Id say over the BB -
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't

Or an Xotic EP Booster hitting the front end will push the amp into to a thicker, natural overdrive that could be enough.
    This. Amazing pedals

  • Sorry to revive this thread again -

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go for an Xotic AC Booster. I'd kind of like the ability to be able to step in to that compressed, mid-humped TS zone without having to switch it out for my TS every time but predominantly I'm looking for an open, transparent tone that basically just sounds like the amp gain control turned up a few notches with the ability to add some top end and cut some lows - the AC sounds perfect for all of that.

So now, the big question - is anyone selling one? :-)

    Thanks,
    Jack

  • Look at the Mooer flex boost - might tick your ac boost requirements ?

  • The Mooer Flex Boost works very well with an already overdriven amp. According to their spiel in their catalogue, it's specially designed as such. I currently use one as a dirty solo boost in a classic rock/blues band (Thin Lizzy, Free etc), it works very well with plenty more gain on tap if required. I also tried the Ultimate Drive and found similar things to the 1st poster, that it got very muddy and indistinct.

The Plexidrive would be good awesome on the badger.  Xotic Do a marshall voiced pedal called the SL Drive, that would be good also.
