Check out the close-up photographs of the front of the body. The improvised twangbar appears to be a combination of a Short Vibrola copy and a redundant metal cover for where the Maestro mechanism isn't.

    "humming buckers"? 

    My first electric guitar was an Avon Les Paul Custom copy. That had humming buckers. When my teenaged self investigated this, the full-sized metal HB covers turned out to contain single coils, offset to align with the polepiece screw holes of each cover.

    So began a lifetime of tinkering.
