I have been looking for a guitar storage cabinet and was thinking a small wardrobe and some of these may be a good solution.

Presumably you'd need a seriously strong wardrobe

Fairly sturdy but depends on how many guitars I put in there.

Build yourself a wooden rack to fit in a wardrobe instead, will fit more in and be more sturdy. Or if building isn't an option buy a rack that fits the wardrobe.

They'd swing and bump into each other surely? Not to mention the load on the cross bar would be immense.
