Ermmm....sorry Im not sure !...I use a Presonus interface ( 16.4.2) and I know it works with iPad etc, sorry I though you are asking a slightly different question.

He's asking for a surfaceless digital desk, where almost all control is done by the iPad so the desk takes the form of a rack unit. 
The Presonus 16:4:2 does indeed work wireless with an iPad providing you use the universal control ap on a laptop to bridge between the desk and iPad

Personally I think a real desk like the Studiolive, A&H QU16 etc with iPad is a better bet than a surfaceless one but they cost more

That's the one. One of the main factors in the decision is to save space; it'll be so much easier having a shallow 4u rack rather than a big flightcased desk

I've used a Soundcraft UI16 for the past 2 years and it's been fantastic! There is a UI12 on ebay auction at the moment.
