Thought that this thread would get more attention. I used to love 60s batman when I was a kid and it never struck me how camp it was. I can't really watch it these days because of that because I'm really in to 'regular' Batman. Prefer Adam West in Family Guy.

I used to watch his Batman as a kid sometimes, I definitely thought it was odd but the notion of it being camp didn't really occur. He turned up on Big Bang Theory not long ago, great job of sending himself up. 
Second Family Guy regular to pass away in recent times (Carrie Fisher was Angela).

Camp as it is I still enjoy West's Batman. The bomb on the pier scene still puts a huge grin on my face

The episode that sticks in my mind is one where Batman gets completely encased in quick drying concrete.

 Holy cement mixer! Is this the end of our masked hero? How can he ever escape?

At the start of the next episode Robin has managed to break through it with a hammer or a pneumatic drill. Batman just steps out. 

"Batman! You're alive!! How did you manage that?"

"Simple Robin. I just...........held my breath". 

Genius stuff.
