Missed payments and your credit file

I signed up for a free trial on some internet site, but I didn't like it so I immediately cancelled the account on the website and the subscription through paypal.

I've now been sent an invoice from San Marino saying that I owe them 2 missed payments and a payment reminder fee of 22 euros.

Is there any way that this can affect my credit file? I've already sent them an email basically saying are you having a laugh and that I'm not paying it (though in a nicer tone), but wondering if I need to worry about it.

It appears to be a European company. I'm really annoyed because I had to go through about 3 different screens asking me if I really wanted to cancel, and even after all that they still didn't do it.

Anything thats not finance/granting you credit (loans, store credit card, utilities) will not appear. Thats why no one give a crap about gym memberships.
