Anyone going to the Day of rage in London tomorrow? Nice warm day, some walking, shouting and rioting with a few beers  .. sounds like fun.

    Sounds delightful, *not*

I can understand the unrest and the need for answers but this sounds like it's going to get silly ;)

The funny thing is they are fighting among themselves ... the Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary (MFJ) has been accused by the London Black Revs [Revolutionaries], which describes itself as an urban, working class revolutionary organisation operating under the slogan “Fighting injustice at any cost," of hijacking the Grenfell tower tragedy. They are going to seize some vacant properties though .. the People’s Assembly Against Austerity aren't sure ... sounds like something out of a Douglas Adams novel ...

It's a terrible, horrible tragedy, but will this sort of thing actually help? Hopefully there will be no trouble.

sadly I think the tower disaster will be hijacked by political fringe movements as an excuse to rant and cause trouble..

and the now common cries of "we want answers now" will be heard even through the forensics guys I still picking their way through evidence.. there will be answers, but to get the right ones, we'll all have to wait..

and of course they want scapegoats.. it don't matter if they're the right ones or not..
    just just want blood.. anyones..

    I seriously despise these people
they do more harm than good and are highly divisive
play every note as if it were your first

Not going to Day of Rage, but I'm meeting Ray of Dage (Deptford Action Group For The Elderly) if that's any help.

I'm not convinced raging will be of any help in the long run

So, this silly rioty protest is happening on Wednesday and not Thursday?

Given that a track-side fire at 15:00 yesterday created a series of events that meant the Journey Planner website said my 102 minute journey was going to be 499* minutes at 22:00 I'm not confident an actual riot in London wont cause Southern to grind to a halt for weeks... and I've got to get to and from work on Thursday...

*Trains should be something we riot about... 20 minutes on the way in I was sat in a train without AC because it didn't have a driver, only for them to change the route ... on RAILS ... so I was sweating like a FIFA exec in court for no reason but no one spoke to us... automate it...

Might that not be a Day Of Reg?

If they get shirty on the demo, kettle them. In weather like this that can be kettled and microwaved at the same time.

I used to be good at that.  Wonder if any of the skills are transferable.

TBH they should probably wait until the weather gets a bit cooler.

A spot of unrest and unnecessarily tying up police and emergency services resources.  Good plan.
