I always rather liked the Iceman but not the metal connection- always looked great with Steve Miller playing (although he had some sort of triple coil pickup IIRC).

    And Peter Hammill!

I had a newer one a few years ago...and yes this looks a lot classier and truer to the originals...but i still wish i kept the one i had. The thing was made in Indonesia, which may be perceived as being bad quality, but it was flawless in every way!

Yes will have to get cream rings...and a cream switch tip...i have a set of four gold speed knobs from an old LP that i can trial on it...but that may be too much.

just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.

I did a deal on eBay today, but will be finalised on the weekend…

i can't wait to get it…she's black…she japanese but made in korea…she's not a copy of anything else…she's so beautiful you could kiss her…who is she??
Surely a MIJ is Japanese and a MIK is Korean?

in this scenario…Ibanez is a Japanese company…but this guitar is made in korea…so she's like a girl of japanese parents born and bred in korea.

anyway payment made today…so its officially mine now…just got deal with the waiting game!

so after a long wait, the guitar finally got home.

its really nice and well set up. of course at some point i will have to set it up with 12-60's or something heavier than that. but for now tuned to D its fine.

one issue i have though...is the strap buttons. There is a massive neck dive issue, and i think its the strap button on the neck side thats the problem. Has anyone moved strap buttons, and how much work is it and what dangers are there by drilling new holes into the guitar???
