SOLD: Amp Building Parts --- MJW Amplification Stock Sale

I have now decided that I will not be returning to amp building, therefore I am putting the remainder of my stock up for sale, at a frankly ludicrous price. I don't have room to store this stuff any more, and need my space back. Also I can plough the cash into my motorbike restoration.

I've got some pictures of the parts and tools on offer, and will add them later.

There's approximately 7 or 8 boxes of stuff, too much to list in detail, so hopefully you'll be happy that there's more than enough value in what's here to take a punt. Keep what you want and sell the other bits at your leisure, and you'll probably make your money back. There's a treasure trove of the kind of stuff that has taken me a decade to accumulate, and I've forgotten what I paid for some of it.

I won't split or sell individual parts, for sale as a job lot only. As I'm in Northern Scotland, it might be difficult to inspect and/or collect the goods, however, I am willing to deliver for a small charge as I sometimes come down south again, so I could arrange to drop them off.

Just to start with, here's a rough outline of what's here:

9 boxes (1000 ea) 1W carbon film resistors. Not all full, probably 6-7000 resistors total.

3 parts boxes with pots, corners, handles, valve sockets, retainers, switches, jack sockets, IEC sockets, fuseholders, lamps, lampholders, neons, stand offs, etc.etc.

Assorted wire on reels.

3 smaller resistor boxes: assortments. 0.5W cf, 2W+ mf and ww, 1W mf

2 parts boxes: 1 miscellaneous silicon chips and trannies, 1 16mm pots, trimmers and dual gang 24mm pots

1 box Power Scaling parts and loop parts. Includes 10 off Iron Sounds loop PCBs ($100 worth!), several London Power valve FX loop PCBs, associated parts to populate.

4 further parts boxes: Fuses, LEDs, ceramic caps, 0.6W mf resistors.

Valves: 1 box assorted used valves. A couple of new ones.

Bias probes: 2 pairs of dual, 2 single octal, 1  single noval.

3 reels heat shrink

Test Equipt: Megger PAT 32 Pat tester, Weber Impedance matcher, Accurate Instrument Co Inc Valve tester Model 151, Kenwood CS-1575A  scope, Blackstar LDO-100 signal generator, Tenma Insulation tester, Hilka DMM, variac (needs mounting), 120V power supply, 1 large box of test leads.

1 amp cradle

3 parts racks. All kinds of goodies. Film capacitors, electrolytic caps, 1W and 2W resistors, relay PCBs, connectors, plugs sockets, rotary switches, screws, washers etc etc.

1 large box of further stock bits and bobs.

1 box of books - instructions for some of above, plus valve books (Mullard, Brimar and GEC).

1 MJW Orion 2x12 combo cabinet in purple tolex. No amp or speakers.

I reckon if I split this lot and sold for best prices there must be over £1k worth. I just need rid now though.

Very tempting for me to buy it and "unofficially" take over from Martin. I've already bought a car full of transformers and tolex off him a few months ago ...

Wouldn't want to taint his legacy with sub-par stuff though
