Best/Easiest way to to control these rackmounts?

I've had a rack before but never got properly into it before selling up. Now I'm going to have another bash at it, so this is what I have so far.

I'm new to midi etc, so with my smaller board I'd like to add this rack to it. How am I best to control the Line 6's? Not as fussed about midi changes as I could work that out, but more so for switching them on and off. Is that doable via midi? Any controllers you could recommend?

I actually have a Pod Pro coming for shits and giggles, and also has the floorboard for it. Would this unit be able to turn them on when required aswell as changing modes?

Hi mate, it depends on the midi implementation of the units, have a look at the manuals and see if there is a midi number assigned to bypass. 

Then its usually just a case of sending a cc message of either 0-65 65-127 to switch it.

Some (like my H9) just need to receive a program change number to bypass.
