That Idles album is going to be high on my end of the year list

    It's absolutely brutal

I stopped watching his videos ages ago, because I'd come to the conclusion that he was simply too pretentious for me and that was the overriding thought in my head while I was watching them, which was distracting from the actual content.

The fact that I've heard of precisely zero of those artists only confirms that.

I don't mind Fantano, although I don't always agree with him

Quite a few of the artists on that list are really good, and not all are that obscure at all on the alternative scene

The opinion on him is split over on RYM because they feel that if he rates an album negatively the ratings fall on the site and if he rates it positively the ratings of it go up on the site.  I don't watch him myself because he's so hipstery and I've also never heard of any of those bands apart from Fleet Foxes, because one of their albums is on the front page of RYM at the minute.

I'm surprised that happens, I didn't realise he had so many followers & that his opinion carried that much weight.

He's not my favourite reviewer, but seems to have by far the most output compared to any of the others I have found on YouTube.

I've never heard of this chap and wouldn't have taken any note of his top 20 except that he's got Elder in there.

So now I'll probably watch this clip out of curiosity when I get home from work.
