    What are you talking about?
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them

I have no idea what this is about, but I have some vague sense it might have something to do with sport.  Cricket perhaps?  What's the crisis - someone's shin pad needed adjusting?

Tour De France cycling race. Team Sky underling pulling away, ahead of team leader, Chris Froome, when he is supposed to be assisting Froome towards registering the most competitive time.

Eventually, Aru was caught by the group that he broke away from. He will get his ass kicked by the team management after the stage is completed.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

Not really. It is just on the wrong discussion board. :)

Cyclist members will understand the bad sportsmanship from aru. Like a 2010 rerun of the schleck / contador incident

Surely the fact that Porte and G are out is more important?

In any case didn't Froome do the same to  Wiggins a few years back?

Ah hang on, Aru is with Astana anyway so he can do as he pleases.

Will watch the highlights when I get in!

That was the most blatant "attack a rider when he's had a mechanical" I've seen though! Froome's arm went up, Aru came from behind and literally ducked under Froome's outstretched arm to attack.

I watched a documentary some years back about the TDF teams and all the ridiculous team orders and internal pecking order stuff.

There was some right bollocks. At one point in the race they were following, one group decided to get on with it quite early in the race. The main contenders watched it happen, apprantly (according to the voiceover) becasue they were expecintg them to later let the pack catch up as they are "meant" to.

but they didn't. So the main riders didn't win the stage. The thing that confused me was that everyone seemed to think this was neither the main riders nor the teams fault, but the other riders for not maintaining the status quo.

    what a load of cobblers.
    Red ones are better.

I would take that with a pinch of salt if it was a post Armstrong era tour.

Breakaways are often massively strategic or opportunistic or even just a way to please the sponsors...

Pro cyclists earn absolute peanuts compared to even mediocre footballers. A continental level domestique will have a base salary of about £35K. Add a few quid for endorsements, it's not exactly living the high-life?
