Looks like EHX have been stalking my dreams. Everything I wanted to be able to do with my  superego is covered with this. Apparently they're not out til September, I'll definitely be getting one.

They might not always win points for reliability and even originality but EHX have been absolutely smashing it out of the park in the past few years in terms of products
    How very rock and roll

I just wish they were made better.
I'd happily pay double for better knobs and switches that didn't fail.

I must be the luckiest ehx owner. I've never had a pedal fail on me, I've had a pog2, superego, and a holy stain on my board for years and more recently a mel9 and I've not had one ounce of trouble.

    How often do you gig?
I'm on my 2nd HOG and my 3rd Superego.
I've had several others fail too.

Woah shit! I am lucky! Gig wise, these days not many lucky if it's 2 a month but a few years ago I used to gig a lot. But they do get used at practice twice a week and I'm in the process of scoring a horror film so the past couple of weeks they've been getting quite a bit of hammer. Better take it easy on them.

off topic but I do quite fancy a hog2.

Well now you've said so in public, sorry, but you're completely screwed. They'll fall like dominos now.

That superego does look very cool. It's a real annoyance that they can be so flakey though. I'm not spending 300 quid + on a pedal that I know is likely to malfunction the way my POG2 did. The guy who fixes the EHX stuff in the UK actually seems very good but it's a bit of an arse ache sorting it all out.

He gets a lot of practice. I wish ehx would make these things properly. They have some wonderful pedals.

I actually think that EHX are one of THE  most original FX companies... shame about the build quality at times...

I do own, and truly love, the EHX 45000 looper. It is SO creative. If a new one (96000 ?) comes out, Ill be very interested...

This is one pedal that seriously has me gassing pedals again :-(

I saw this on Twitter last night for the first time and couldn't sleep then, it basically ruined my day.

Agreed. I like it that they give the controls wide range to allow for some unusual sounds. I don't gig so can't speak to durability but I've never had a bad one, they've all worked fine.

  • I don't follow how the presets work, is 2 presets per effect type accessed by the toe and heel position of attached expression pedal?

I agree, great pedals and ideas from EHX over the last few years. I just wish the build quality was better, had so many issues with various EHX pedals
