Some nice set-ups there, Rega does appear to be the TT of choice for a lot of people, had a google http://www.harrowaudiohifi.co.uk/rega-planar-3 £550!! Will it make my LP`s sound 550 quid better?

Also out of interest does anyone have old LP`s which sound "thin"? I have a couple of 70`s originals that simply sound not as full as others.
Go to hifiemporium, they have my old rega 3 there for sale for 500 - it had about 600 quid of upgrades done over the years. He's selling it with and without the arm (listed twice). It's a bargain.

Here's the list of upgrades: http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/comment/1313033/#Comment_1313033

I bought myself a 2nd hand Linn LP12 in 1994 (it's originally from 83 or 84 I think) and I still play it most days. It's got a Basik arm which I'd love to replace with an Ittok and a K9 cartridge. I replaced the Valhalla psu with a Lingo about 13 years or so ago which was a great upgrade.

That plays into into a Musical Fidelity X-LP phono stage and then a Cyrus 3 amp.

The music then then comes out of my, new in 94, Linn Tukan speakers.

Not the poshest of the posh but still pretty nice and has provided me with a lot of pleasure over the years
