Suddenly noisy chorus pedal

I've been using a cheap as chips chorus pedal up to now (nux ch-3) which was working well for me. But just lately it's been introducing loads of noise into my rig. Kind of a buzz type noise, on both channels but worse when i'm on ch2 with some gain on. 

I've tried it with both a power supply and a battery and it's the same, so i'm pretty sure it's the pedal and nothing else. Not sure why this would happen though unless the pedal has gone faulty on me. I'm guessing i'm going to have to replace it but thought i would pop a post on here just to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
