  • Brutalz: Tuner ->wah -> comp -> OD  -> chorus -> delay 1 -> amp -> delay 2 -> phaser.

    Funk: QTron -> comp -> drive -> amp.

    It's fair to say that, while I can write stuff for brutalz with POD Farm, I won't be able to afford to be in a band unless I simplify things down to this, which would be fine.

    Tuner -> Wah -> comp -> OD -> amp -> delay -> phaser

  • I think having 2 distortions/overdrives are important, you need some variation

    tuner

    the rest is just icing
    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    Well @Barney, if we could all play as well as you, it would just be a guitar and amp :)
    However, back in the real world, I'd go for these:-
    Tuner - Compressor - Overdrive - Delay
    Extra flavours - a modulation pedal (chorus or phaser) and a wah or auto-wah

    Wah - fuzz - treble boost (always on) - delay.....that's my mini board, my big board just has more fuzz and a Strymon Lex. I have reverb and tremolo in the amp...so maybe I'd add those if they weren't already there

    Tuner and some sort of treble boost.

    Even in my covers band I don't us any modulation or delay, can't stand either tbh.
