This one goes back a bit:

    Then there's this one:

Anf hats off for posting the Joe 90 theme tune. I was in a band that used to jam on it, all sorts of stuff came out of it.

    Happy days...

On the subject of football, there really isn't anything more classic than this...

"Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski

"Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein

That Crown Court theme reminds me of being sick and off school.
That's all there ever seemed to be on in the afternoon in the seventies!

I always thought this was eerily cool.......

Weekend World. What a theme. Sunday lunchtimes on ITV in the 80's rocked.

There's a US remake of The Tomorrow People currently airing...I haven't watched it though.

Proper eerie, though, isn't it? I only remember the episode about "bubbleskin jumpsuits"...if you've never seen it, you'll wonder what the hell I'm on about...

  • Mrstheweary has been watching the US remake but doesn't rate it compared to ( her memories of ) the original series.
Pity I made the discussion British as I can't include Hawaii 5-0, a theme tune so good they did revive it for the remake.

ha! I used to go see a ska band that covered it. Best reason to have a horn section.

My old college music teacher Joe Bennett used to write for Total Guitar. One of his sideline interests and something he used to contribute to the magazine was interviews with tv composers. He used to have a band that would gig tv theme tunes. I always liked Alan Hawkshaw's tunes.

Incidentally if I remember correctly Joe mentioned when he interviewed he composer for Postman Pat. He wanted to compose a tune, not something dumbed down as it was for children.

Apparently I used to go into a tantrum if I didn't watch Pat. :p

This is another one which brings back fond memories, I was a little narked when I found out they had changed the theme tune. My nephews used to have a plastic ride on Thomas toy. And my sister said "press the button, it plays the theme tune". So i did.....it did not play the theme tune. And don't even get me started on Mr Tophat. I would love to have been one of Ringo's kids, I'd follow him around all day and after each time he spoke I say "said Thomas"

I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.
