There was a photo of Hetfield in Kerrang's review of Donington 85 - metal up yer ass shirt, hitting an open E string on a white V, while his blond locks flowed in the Leicestershire breeze. He looked as cool as anything I'd ever seen before..... I think I went a tiny bit gay.

That's when I decided I wanted to be him.
