I need castors for a cab, anyone know where i can get them??

I've just bought an early 80's marshall 4x12.
Its a great cab, but has lost its castors at some point in its hard life.

I'd liek to get a new set , maybe something good quality like the ones mesa use.

Anyone any hints or tips as to what to use??!

Does it still have the threaded sockets? If so then you just need the proper Marshall castors - they're just as good as the Mesa ones.

If the sockets are missing Marshall sell those as well, but you need to order four sets individually  - http://shop.marshallamps.com/p/castor-and-socket?pp=24

For general flightcase parts and accessories, Adam Hall are usually good

  • The Mesa castors are larger. This does mean they roll better in many situations, but the castors on a Marshall are still fine. The mechanisms for release differ, but most people aren't removing regularly so it's not much of an issue anyway

I put my tv on castors once, ended up with a telecaster.

Tate & Lyle also make em, but tbh I reckon its just caster sugar.

Search my recent posts, I started a thread about repairing tolex. There's a link there to a guy on eBay who got me a set of 80s casters to go with my 80s cab, he has various old Marshall bits and pieces. Nice chap.
