The problem is that no one has really taken over running the community. Ken Hower is long gone, I think his big thing became all-terrain quads. No one really filled his shoes. Big Tom from Leeds has kept the place online, which is great, but I'd not be at all surprised if he didn't think the current traffic levels didn't justify the amount of work he'd have to put into making everything functional again.

If you've listened to the Double Stop podcast, you'll have heard Jeff Martin and Bruce Bouillet say why Racer X isn't doing anything: PG wants to do other things. With the new Mr. Big album and his solo stuff, I'm sure he has more than enough work on, and makes enough money with the teaching products to feel no great pressure. 

They should do Racer X without Paul - have you ever seen that gig?  It's pretty cool hearing them in that context.

No, but I've heard its out there. I have seen most (if not all) of BB's instructional video, which has the same lineup playing on it.

I wonder if PG has vetoed them doing it without him? Or if Bouillet and Martin wouldn't get Travis and Aldrete onboard without him?

That was over 10 years ago!!!  That's hard to believe.  







That's two videos from the show.  I dont know why they were uploaded individually though, there is a whole show floating around out there.  It's been taken off Youtube but I'm sure it'll appear again, or maybe I have it on an old hard drive.....

@Bingefeller Thanks man! I've got to get better broadband. Might have to go satellite, our copper cables might be the bottleneck. Then grabbing huge files like those wouldn't be such a daunting prospect.

I think Racer X is dead.  Only a hardcore group of fans are left, even the original mods on that forum have moved on.

There seem to be more people discovering RX all the time, but you're right, Gilbert, Travis and Aldrete all have their own things going on that don't leave much room for projects that won't make bank.
