Recreating a Thorpy Gunshot in a modeller (Axe FX please)

How would you guys go about it?

I'm guessing a good place to start would be a Tube Screamer, but how do I go about the Calibre control which just does something beautiful to the tone. Really fattens it up and send it into harmonic bliss.

Actually managed to get close on the Fractal by slamming a FET Booster with a tube in it instead of FET. Drive about 50%. Really made the TS after it bloom. 

And for anyone who cares, the modded TS didn't come close, just use the regular one and crank the drive (at the settings I liked my Gunshot anyway, drive at around 1 o'clock)

Sounds like you've gotten very close there with that combo, there is a lot of boost at the front end of the gunshot, so a modelled tube would do the trick.

That's very cool of you to chime in, mate. Thank you. I'm really pleased with the results I'm getting and may post a clip or something at some point.

Perhaps a testament to your fine work is the fact that it's the only pedal I've missed and gone to great lengths to try to emulate with my new setup :-)
