Boss oc-3 tracking issue?

weird one as lately I've been adding effects and changing stuff.

But I've noticed things which I'm sure my Oc-3 didnt used to do.

Its hard to explain, but single notes are fine, however even a slight ring of another note and theres a very bassy warble that changes in pitch, not musical either, its like a rumble or mash up of bass.

It does it also on any sustained note, particularly noticable on the low e open string. Plays ok for a second then decays into a warbling bassy mess.

Tried psa, new battery and just using the effect alone through different amps, 2 different guitars, does it consistantly.

Worse on the drive setting, but noticeable even on the oc-2 setting which I use predominantly.

I wondered if I've done damage as I was plugging the psa in and out and battery etc while the mains were on, so it was powering up instantly as I also had guitar cords in the input.

Using it only in mono setting. Its only about 6 months old.

Just strange as I'm sure I would have heard this before!

Only other effects in chain are tu-3 > oc-3 > angel wing chorus > amp.

Seen a vid on youtube of a guy with the same/similar thing. But I dunno :/

Fanx!
The only easy day, was yesterday...

Oc2 and drive settings are not polyphonic. Sounds like a warbly mess if you use chords. Oc3 setting is polyphonic.
