I think its a good thing. Statistics show that using the old method, it was the team that took the first penalty would win most of the time. This way, the pressure shifts backwards and forwards between teams. I like it.

I agree - I can't see why it can't be adopted in all appropriate competition with immediate notice - No need for a trial IMO

Except in the Charity Shield where statistically it has made no difference. There were up until Saturday six penalty shootouts. The team that went first went on to win three times and the team that went second won three times.

Ok, but the statistics aren't only taken from past Charity/Community Shield matches though are they?

Not sure why they're introducing it but it obviously worked yesterday for Arsenal! Courtois and Morata's penalties were shocking though...
