MXR Carbon Copy remote foot switch mod?

I've been playing around with the modulation on the Carbon Copy and rather like it but it's a bit of a bore reaching down to click in the little button (and then be blinded by TWO of the brightest LEDs known to man) so I was wondering if its possible to mod this so that an external (i.e remote) foot switch will turn the modulation on and off?
