Buying kit without boxes...

Try selling used camera gear without the box. You're treated like the spawn of satan if you've even thrown out the little bags of silica gel, let alone the box itself.  

I keep the boxes for most most of my fx stuff, everything else usually gets binned.

My Lazy J didn't come with a box, Jesse carried it to my car for me lol

I keep one guitar box just in case I want to sell one, unlikely, or need to take my explorer to a tech, as I'm cheap and dont want to afford a bag!

I have a big wardrode so pedal and power supply boxes go there. Even the ones I never intend selling. 

Still got my Katana box from April, but thats been flatpacked and shoved up the attic so its probably soggy as fuck now anyway. 

In general I'll try and keep a box for as long as poss just incase. 

I did with my car amps, kept them for years and it made it much easier to sell and ship, but also got a few extra quid as it was all complete. 

But If I lived in a flat where space was an issue, I guess most of them would be chucked out..
