Sold (pending): Fender Custom Shop 60 Strat Heavy Relic HSS
Fabulous Custom Shop relic from 2009. £1795
Weighs 7.5lbs. Alder. Medium mid 60s oval C profile neck. .820 at the first fret .930 at the 12th. 9.5" radius. Medium jumbo frets with no wear.
2 Texas Specials and a Seymour JB at the bridge. S1 switch on the volume taps the 'bucker for a surprisingly good single coil tone, or properly authentic position 2. Middle pup is reverse for no hum in positions 2 and 4.
A fantastically resonant and hugely versatile guitar that looks the dog's imho. The lacquer checking is really good, take a look at the last pic.
Comes with all the case candy, COA and a mint case.
No damage (other than by the CS!) or repairs.
Collection preferred from just south of Luton (j10 on the M1), but happy to ship. Would prefer if that's insured for both our sakes, but if you want to take the gamble, that's up to you if you accept the risk. Ping me your post code for a quote.
Will reinstate the aged strap buttons prior to sale.
“Don't bore us, get to the chorus!”
Comments
At a push, I could be tempted by a CS relic Strat with a SLIM neck, so 59/60, not mid 60s C. Seem to be rare as hens' at the mo. The trend for bigger necks is great for tone, but pretty rubbish for those of us afflicted with puny hands!
At the moment I'm looking for:
* Hamer Watson, SS2, Vintage S, T62.
* Music Man Luke 1, Luke II
Please drop me a message.
Not for long though, eh!
