Agreed, guitar and singing are both immense

But I can't find any hooks to his songs, or anything that makes me want to listen again

Had a bunch on YouTube this morning. I preferred the live tracks, needs a bit more grit for me somehow but I don't dislike them.

His stuff falls into the same category as Robben Ford, Matt Schofield or Mike Landau. I'd listen to it for the guitar work only. The songs are a vehicle for some tasty guitar playing rather than the guitar supporting the songs. 

Shame, he has a great voice too, something the others I mentioned don't have.

I think this sums it up really. Like lots of other brilliant players he also seems to come across as very likeable and knowledgable - but must of the Bros Landreth songwriting is quite middle of the road. Not bad at all but just not very exciting or memorable. The lyrics in particular sometimes seem very rudimentary. But I love listening to him play.

Saw him Manchester earlier in year - night n day cafe - excellent gig.

Fantastic playing both him and Posen but their songs are a bit boring after a while - top of their game /genre tho

Saw him live for the fourth time last night and he was awesome as always. Immense tone and incredible playing, and a lovely bloke too.

Seeing the Brothers next week in Bristol, 3rd time seeing Joey in the last 18 months. He's awesome, and a bloody nice bloke.
