Delay Oscillations and their characters

So this is something I've been experimenting with recently, using an expression pedal to crank the feedback on a delay. Here are some very rough preliminary clips. I intend to do more comparisons tomorrow:

Helix - https://www.dropbox.com/s/jr5f7lm59axgxu1/Helix Stacked.wav?dl=0

The Helix uses 4 delays, so it's not exactly a fair comparison. But only one of the delays gets cranked - it's the Adriatic Delay. You can hear how the oscillations maintain a high pitch, in line with the notes sent into it. You can hear how it's actually not that saturated, and has more of a pure tone.

Timeline - https://www.dropbox.com/s/nagr0n8xfxjsf1c/timeline#01.wav?dl=0

The Timeline uses the bucket algorithm, trying to match up to the Helix's Adriatic Delay. But you can hear in the oscillation that it just goes very woofy and overly saturated. It doesn't maintain the pitch of the notes going into it and sounds, for lack of a better term, unmusical.

Source Audio Nemesis - https://www.dropbox.com/s/pdrubumvluroslm/Nemesis.wav?dl=0

The Nemesis uses it's analog algorithm. You can hear how it's not quite as woofy as the Timeline but has the same overly saturated character. It too doesn't maintain the pitch, but it lets some of the higher notes through and continues them on in the oscillation tail.

What I like about the Helix is that it's more of a high-pitch screech and whine, and it's harsh and abrasive. The other two can't do that sound, not that I've found so far anyway.
