Saw this. Nice effect, I reckon. Only does cheap guitars, from what I've seen.. affinity, encore..

so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I had a bass someone had done.  Thankfully I was able to remove it without too much damage to the original finish

    Takes about a month!

    Needs more lemons.

    Very well executed though.

The paint job is probably worth more than the guitar concealed beneath.

He'd be better off doing commissions on customer guitars rather than the low end stuff.

Surely he'd make bank doing it on Hofner's and other semi's?

    That's really extremely well done.

    Unlike his photography, unfortunately!

As Snakebite said he should probably consider doing it as a service on higher-quality bodies, rather than making finished cheap guitars which aren't really worthy of it.

    Why Japanese paints?
Are they better than the stuff we get?
It's an interesting effect very well executed.

Very easy to do and look rubbish, so the guy clearly has talent.

Maybe they do look rubbish but not that easy to do properly.

He should do the refinish on HarrySeven's Les Paul JazzBastard project.

I doubt it's at all easy to do them to that standard, as evenly as they are.

They're actually considerably better than Jackson Pollock's paintings, from a technical point of view :).
