Glad all are on the mend and yes, thank god we have modern medicine, doctors and nurses that train hard to deal with these things, all over the world.
My wife has a blood disorder and the medication they gave her for child 1 sent her into a fit / seizure. She couldn't hold our daughter for the first night. Was super scary. But what you have gone through sounds far worse.
Anyway @ThorpyFX all the best to your Mrs and the baby, hope they recover as quickly as possible and hope you're doing well too my friend.
Been through a similar situation, of sorts, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Secondly my experience of the NHS staff mirrors yours. They were first class when my wife gave birth to our second baby in difficult circumstances...apart from the bit were they left me with a baby for 8 hours on my own while they tried to fix the wife!
It's no wonder childbirth was such a killer in the past, and a great tribute to the NHS and modern medical staff that it's pretty much regarded as routine by the public now.
Best wishes for a speedy homecoming for the little lady!
So pleased that things seem to be looking up for you now.
That is a story to put a lot of the bollocks on here into perspective.
Childbirth is simultaneously the most traumatic and wonderful experience. She will go from strength to strength now.
What about Lucille?
Children are hope and wonder personified and I wish you all the best
