  • Anybody else struggling to take Brian seriously with that hair? He looks like he's in court or a posh knob in a period drama.

The thing I struggle with is those crappy horns. I always like Nuno's tone but hated the band/songs.

  • Nuno is a monster player for sure.

He's hardly underrated though. He was everywhere in guitar circles during that pornograffitti era and is probably just as high profile now with rihanna.

I loved extreme in my youth, due to Nunos playing.

tbh i struggle to watch them  due to the Cherone element.

They follow that kind of Van Halen/big hair era vibe.

I just cant handle the level of fromage... the awful awkward Freddie Mercury wanabe stage theatrics are especially cringe inducing not to mention the complete void of lyrical depth

Definitely a guilty pleasure for me. Dusted off pornograffitti and punchline the other day and loved it!

Pat Badger is the best name in rock imo

You sir are correct, as for me, I don't like what I see here and I'm getting the funk out.

  • My youngest daughter dabbles on guitar. I once played her a few clips of guitar players.
She thought Van Halen were hilarious as a band and (in her words) very cheesy (not my view at all btw).
She quite liked Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.
She was very impressed by Nuno. So his playing must have something that appeals to the young. I can't think what else it might be.

    It's not a competition.

I saw an interview with N.B. where he praised Dr May.I agree that N.B is very highly rated.

Yeah...I got some photos when I met the Extreme guys after the gig in Birmingham. My wife's comment was, "Couldn't you have asked Nuno to at least take his shirt off?".

I don't think she understood the point of the evening.

I'd also add Nuno's rhythm playing is insanely good too.
Indeed, I absolutely love his rhythm playing all through Pornograffiti

A friend of mine swears blind that May wears hair extensions. That look is Brian's trademark. Hence, in the interests of anonymity, it would be convenient if it were removable.

The hairstyle reminds me of Charlie Chuck ...                   ... over there.

I saw that video a few weeks ago and thought it was really good that someone like Brian May was still excited about hearing other great guitarists, and especially nice that he gave so much praise to Nuno - He certainly deserves it, amazing guitarist, great singer, great songwriter, handsome devil - personally I hate him ;)

Nope. What would look insanely ridiculous would be if he shaved it all off.

I saw Extreme back in the 90s at Wembley Stadium - the sound was awful.
