Very good ... nice to see him playing the Fly again .... :-)

Julie Slick is one hell of a bass player .....

And I'll round of my Belew trip with this (and for those who don't want to sit through 2 hours worth of music!), so excited to have found it - this is the exact Bowie concert I heard on (and tapped off) the radio back in 1990 that really turned me on to Belew. His playing on this song Belew my mind (ha!). Doggy video but audio not too bad.

Does humour belong in music? :)

I've just watched set 1 - great stuff. Good to see more of Belew's quirky humour coming through freed of the constraints of Crimson.

Indeed, although he no longer seems to be endorsing those strange high-tech orthopedic stools - maybe not so good for your back after all? ;) .

It's interesting to see the way his amps/monitoring has evolved since I last saw his rig - basically a portable PA now.

Some get away with, most don't. I love the way he's just so comfortable pissing about with the band and the audience seem to "get it".

These are a great insight into his approach - a couple of solo guitar (+ tech) improvisations bookending a discussion/talk on 'guitar noise'

He's an Axe-FX user ... on the main vid there's one in his rack.
