In theory I should love a band like Kings X.
They have everything I like in music- killer grooves, great playing and an excellent sense of melody.
But the God shit fucks me off so I can't get more than 30 seconds into a song.

They moved away from the religious aspect a lot after the first few albums (although those albums are the best ones  ;) ).

In any case I think they'd deny they were ever a "Christian band" and at least two of them have struggled with their religious beliefs over the years.

Early 2000s Kings X were kind of experimental leaning. The have some great songs from around this time.  Ty's combo of downtuned guitar and light stings sounds so good.  I think he was using Line 6 gear at this point.
